Just a walk up the field to see splendid panoramic views over Morecambe Bay and the Yorkshire Dales. Many lovely rambles including Leighton Moss RSPB just 2 miles. Within a 30 minute drive from the Lake District, Lake Windermere, Kendal, Ingleton Caves and Waterfalls, Morecambe, the historical city of Lancaster and the Three Peaks.
Situated in the village is Washington House reputed to be lived in by the ancestors of George Washington also Warton Priory. Stock car racing takes place in the village monthly.
